This is my 4th winter making a backyard ice rink and I believe this is the earliest we've been able to use it. Here's David and his cousin James.

Christmas Season

With the bombardment of reindeer, santa claus, presents, and Canadian retailers expecting to do some 25 billion dollars in sales during the Christmas season, it is easy for kids to get confused about the real meaning of Christmas. In today's politically correct, multi-cultural Canada which defines “multi” as anything other than Christian, they are unable to hear at school about what the Bible says happened in Bethlehem some 2000 years ago. For parents looking to tune their children off the secular message of this culture and to tune them into what they likely won't hear anywhere else, consider visiting a good local church this Christmas season.

Many of the larger Churches, put on quite a professional dramatic presentation which is not only entertaining but also points us all back to the original reason for the season. So turn off the television, take a break from the mall, crack open that old Bible and go to church with your kids this Christmas. Your wallet, and their wondering minds might thank you for it.
