Skater Girl

I've been really proud of how Sarah has picked up skating this winter. She had only been on skates a couple of times prior to this winter. I had hoped that she would be able to get into skating on the backyard rink but most of the winter that rink has been a swimming pool so we've taken her public skating most Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. It's been good. Now she flys around the rink and loves it!

Here she is on the backyard rink this afternoon (it's mostly frozen today).

Back from the Fishing Show

I wish they would change things up a little year to year. Walking through I realized it was a carbon copy from last year. I did pick up some of those sure strike meat rigs (met Craig Macphee the inventor), 300 yards of 50lb power pro (with a free hat), 10 crankbaits for $25 (bombers & smithwicks), a couple dipseys, some salmon spoons and a bag full of the usual free brochures.

I was hoping to find a good deal on a landing net and a dipsey rod and reel combo but didn't really find any. There seemed to some competition on downrigger rod/reel combos - between tightlines, grimsby and FW, there were some good deals to be had but I wasn't really looking for that.

Liberals sink to new low!

I made a committment to stick to only posting light material on this blog due to the time required to engage in debate, but I can't resist this one. Democrats are now politicalizing funerals. How low will they go?

Check this out.

I have turned comments off.

My boy is 8 Years old

Today is David's birthday. I can't believe he's 8 already. We got him tickets to see the Leafs and Buffalo, in Buffalo. He and I can't wait!
