It's rock n' roll time again!!

Picked the boat up last night and wasted no time getting back on the water. David got his report card yesterday and got all A's (except for drama, dance and music and I'm kinda glad about that), so I rewarded him by allowing him to play hookey and come fishing with me (it was an early dismissal day anyways).

We went out of Jordan and were on the water at 7:30 and off by 10. Got 3 fish - all brown trouts. Also lost something good on a break off. Probably a bigger brown or rainbow. The boat was great. After sitting for the winter it started in less than a second of cranking. Here's David with one of the browns.


Browns are ok for now, but I can't wait for the Salmon to show up!

Birthday Party

We had an NHL style birthday party for David tonight. There were 10 boys. We rented a gym and played 1.5 hours of ball hockey and then came back to the house for pizza and cake.

No Training Wheels!

We tried several times last summer without success; but this year she was able to do it first try!

I'm proud of her.

Went shopping today

Had the day off so I took the opportunity to drive out to Grimsby Tackle. Great selection they have there - pretty good prices as well.

Kind of an early birthday present for myself.

They spooled the reel with mono backing for me, now I gotta figure out how to join it to the 50lb power pro braided line that I have.
