Couple of Hours with My Son

Evening shift. 6pm to 8pm with my son. Fished the same area as yesterday. Only one fish - 10lb chinook. Came on a kevorkian NK spoon. Had the spin docs running but they sure weren't rockin' like they were yesterday.

Fishing with the Cousin

Went out with my cousin this morning. Even though it was rough with periodic showers first thing in the morning, it ended up being an awesome day out there. Good fishing too!!

Had some serious problems keeping fish on in the morning - at one time I was 2/9! ::) You'd think I was using rubber hooks or something. Made a little bit of a comeback and ended up 9/15. Seemed to be biting all day. Tons of Fun!

The fish below hit while I was holding the rod. I took the rod out of the holder to pack up and BANG! Totally freaked me out!

I pretty much worked the US/Can border all day. After about 10am all they wanted was flashers and flies/cut bait. Good talking to the guys on the radio.

Great Morning

Just a great, sunny, calm morning on the water. I was out with my son, a friend and his son - they were first timers...so the pressure was on not to get skunked! Was fishing by 6:30ish but had to leave rather abruptly around 11ish due to restless kids. Ended up 4/5 on Salmon and 1 bonus laker. Here's some pics.

All fish came in ~240 fow, except the Laker.

BTW, I missed posting last friday(got skunked). Fish had scattered and went deep and I was still fishing the shallows. Too bad because I had my cousin with.

Fishing with the Wife

Really enjoyed the opportunity to go out fishing with my wife yesterday. We had a good time at the Keg friday night and fishing in the morning. We were on the water from 6:30-9:30. Hooked into likely my biggest fish ever at about 6:45; unfortunately after fighting it for about 10min the line broke - just as I was reaching for the drag. Had 3 more fish before 8:15. Kept 2 for the BBQ. Then the action just stopped. We didn't have a rod move or see anyone else get one after 8:15.

My wife did get a bit cold at times :).

Tried some evening fishing out of Jordan last night. Was the only boat on the water. There were fish there. My son and I just couldn't get them in the boat. Had 4 hookups. Was a kinda expensive evening - lost an inline planer board and my favorite reef runner.

This blog is turning out to be my fishing log...that's ok.
